Firstly don't be put off by thinking you have to do every meeting - not so! You pick which dates and venues you fancy attending. Even if you can only do one meeting at your local circuit you'll get the same warm welcome as those that are able to attend them all.
We have a regular band of marshals that are a great bunch of lads and lasses, as you'll soon find, all with a common interest in classic racing. We come from all walks of life from factory workers to van drivers and even hairdressing so, whatever your background, you'll soon fit in.
Most training is carried out 'on the job' where you will be placed with experienced marshals to learn all aspects of marshalling from dealing with a fallen rider to displaying the required flags. In addition we run a training day every year or so - watch the 'Classic' press and, of course, this website for the next date.
However if you feel that you would prefer to something else there are always many 'behind the scenes' jobs that need doing and help is always welcome. Just pop into the Race Office at any meeting and you will be welcomed with open arms.
