2016 is going to be a very exciting season for the team as we finally have our outfit at the stage where we can develop and further improve it after many years of problems. 2015 was, certainly for the majority of the season, typical TBR with a few glimpses of potential interspersed with all manor of issues. We had the thrill of racing in Europe at some fantastic venues but these were tarnished by mechanical failures culminating in another complete failure at Chimay following issues that had begun at Assen the meeting before. Fast forward to August and another European road circuit, this time being Gedinne. This was another new circuit for us and we were full of hope and expectations given our newly rebuilt motor by P&M Motorcycles. This time the engine was fitted with a belt primary drive and a billet crankshaft which was 6lb lighter than standard too. Also new was a 6 plug head and a charging system. All of this saw the team finish a complete meeting - all practice and qualifying plus races that were entered. This was a huge boost as it was the first time on some 18 months we had achieved this! The season ended in September at Cadwell Park with 2 great races Saturday following some struggling to get off the line to a DNF Sunday due to a slipping clutch. A disappointment but simple fix. 2016 will see us concentrate on the Camathius Cup due to it's great mix of circuits and the friendly paddock atmosphere. Preparation has begun with a chassis check over and clean and then a trip to P&M for some further dyno work and then we will be all set.
